Gia Macuja Atchison


Gia is one of the Philippines’ foremost musical theatre talents who has been based in the United Kingdom for the past 13 years.  


In London's West End, she was part of the original cast of THE LION KING understudying and playing the  lead role of Nala, and the roles of Gigi and Ellen in MISS SAIGON.


Before coming to the UK, Gia was a member of Repertory Philippines where she played a variety of roles including Clara in the Asian premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s PASSION, Cosette in LES MISERABLES, Luisa in THE FANTASTICKS , and Mary Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR to name a few.


She has also executed the roles of Shakespeare heroines such as Beatrice in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING and Katherine in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW.


With her roots in the field of opera, Gia was a winner of the National Music  Competitions for Young Artists of the Philippines (NAMCYA).
